Earls Barton Music exists financially by making a charge to singers for each performance unlike some societies that levy an annual membership fee. We also raise funds by the usual means of charging for tickets to see us perform. Costs are considerable with each show often requiring the hire or purchase of the sheet music for choir and accompaniment, the hire of rehearsal space and performance venues, some payments to rehearsal pianists and sundry expenses on refreshments etc. Overall however we manage to re-invest money back into the society and local community

Earls Barton Music has, over the years, managed to purchase a considerable inventory of equipment to enhance the performing experience both for its members and our audiences.

We have achieved this by re-investing profits, obtaining grants from the local Councils and most recently from the Northamptonshire Communities Foundation for additional modular staging. In all we now own our own stage lighting, sound system, lit music stands, two types of modular staging and an ever increasing library of sheet music. This enables the society to perform in almost any venue in a technically self sufficient way and is also available to others in the community to use by arrangement. As with all groups such as ours we also have reliable and willing technical crew that look after all the sound and lighting needs for our shows.
